Big Three Breakup Rumors Swirl

The rumors are still out there as everyone talks about how the Celtics should move someone from the Big Three and break them up.  It sounds rather objectionable because these guys have been through a lot together and done a lot together, but it is probably time to move on.  However, what I never thought of was what you could do with the Celtics if you move one of the big pieces.

For example, let’s say you trade Ray Allen for some roleplayers.  So, now you have Garnett and Pierce still on the team.  You still have Rajon Rondo left in the mix.  Basically, you have a new big three in which you get the guys together and tell them, “We’re sorry that it had to go like this, but Ray is no longer with the team, and we need you three to make this thing work.  You’re the new big three.  You can call yourselves whatever you want, but this big three runs this team now.”

You do that or you break them apart AND cause emotional turmoil that the other guys on the team won’t be able to handle.  So, when you move one of the big three, you have to have someone to step in.  This is the time you put Rondo on the front-burner and tell him to take the heck over and get the ball to Pierce and Garnett when they need it.

I never thought that this would take this long or get this much press.  Personally, I thought they would have already done this by now because they have Rondo, but I never thought of simply reinventing the big three instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

They don’t have long to make this move work, so they need to get on it.  I wonder if they’ve already talked to trade partners…

The starting 5 can stay together in Boston. All we need is a bench and we can come out the East. Ainge should trade C.Wilcox,M.Daniels,K.Dooling,S.Pavlovic, & 1st round pick to Houston for C.Budinger,T.Williams, & H.Thabeet. Coach McHale is not playing those guys and they will be perfect off the bench for Boston. Ainge should also trade A.Bradley & E.Moore to Sacramento for I.Thomas. After the trade deadline Ainge should sign R.Wallace & E.House they know the system and won a title.
