No one can say the writing wasn’t on the wall in regards to Derrick Rose sitting out the entire 2013 season.
The July signings of Hinrich, Robinson, Belinelli, Radmanovic, and Mohammed pretty much screamed that the Bulls were throwing in the towel on this campaign, but because no one came out and said Derrick Rose would not return, we all sat on the edge of our seats anxiously awaiting the comeback of our basketball savior.
With injuries adding up quickly for the Bulls, few would have thought it was possible for the shorthanded Bulls to even compete with the Miami Heat, let alone defeat them. Not only did the Bulls manage to end the Heat‘s 27-game win streak, their hustle and determination made a statement to the city of Chicago that the Bulls aren’t ready to throw in the towel just yet. As a Bulls fan, this game had everything you wanted to see; gritty play, flashy dunks, LeBron’s lemon face, and of course, a Bulls victory.
