Rudy Gay is on his way to Toronto in the latest and most dramatic move in the Memphis Grizzlies‘ money-motivated makeover.
The Grizzlies agreed to trade their star swingman to the Raptors on Wednesday, parting with the leading scorer on a team that has aspirations of making a run in the powerful Western Conference.
The Raptors gave up point guard Jose Calderon and forward Ed Davis in the deal that also included Grizzlies backup center Hamed Haddadi, and Memphis then shipped Calderon to Detroit for Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince.

After losing a close game at home to the Boston Celtics, the Bulls set out to begin their annual circus trip Wednesday as they visited the US Airways Center to face off against the Phoenix Suns. With the Suns off to a 3-1 start at home, the Bulls needed to come out and shut down their leading scorer, Goran Dragic. While the Bulls were successful in containing Dragic, they let enough points slip through the cracks elsewhere to push this game into overtime.

Certainly one of the biggest off-season moves this summer has just sealed the deal. The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a sign-and-trade with their division rival Los Angeles Lakers to send two-time MVP and future Hall of Famer Steve Nash to team up with Kobe and the Lakers.
The exact details of the trade are still getting out, as the Lakers sent the Suns first round draft picks in 2013 and 2015 and second rounders in 2013 and 2014. Nash reportedly agreed to a three-year deal worth $25 million.

An open letter from unreasonable fans of the Phoenix Suns:
Dear Kendall,
We’re sorry that our front office was short-sighted enough to draft you so high to essentially replace Steve Nash. We know that you can’t save this franchise, and we also know that you’re not Steve Nash, but, since you’re here, the least you could do is try, right? Surely it won’t kill you to try to save a team that has only been buoyed by one guy for such a long time. Keeping in mind, of course, that he is a first ballot hall of famer who has skills that normal men do not possess. So, no pressure or anything.

While the Thunder, Spurs, Heat, and Celtics all begin their battle to reach the 2012 NBA Finals, the other 26 teams are scrambling to find the pieces to make them championship contenders. Among one of the teams is our very own Phoenix Suns. The Suns have struggled to find an identity after watching Amar’e Stoudemire make his move to New York City. With Steve Nash’s return in question, what does Phoenix need to do in the upcoming draft and offseason to find a way to be more competitive?

As anyone could imagine, Steve Nash ran circles around the Portland guards in route to a 125-107 demolition.
The Suns (32-29) eyeing for the last playoff spot as they got a lift from the Houston Rockets losing to Denver, the Trail Blazers (28-34) treating this game and the rest of their five game stretch as prime time for the rookies to strut their stuff and possibly earn a role on the roster next season.

In the NBA, with struggles comes the inevitable effect of trade rumors, and at this point in the season, there are none bigger than the ones surrounding Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns.
At 9-14, the Suns are by no means having a disaster of a season, but they are definitely not a playoff team at this point. And following recent blowout losses to the Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers, some in Phoenix wish that Nash would change his stance on not wanting to be traded to a contender so that the team can at least build for the future.
